Though I did not connect with the protagonists of this tortured marriage of convenience story, I stood back and admired the way SC managed to set up the story and both characters in the fir Sara Craven's The Santangeli Marriage has some of my most detested tropes, both thematically adultery, manwhore gets the virgin and style-wise flashbacks, dual POVs.
Now Lorenzo is determined to bring Marisa home and make their marriage work. The hypocrite of course would have blown his top if his virginal bride had of course had santangwli with another man while they were seperated. No one held a gun to her head and she decided to play martyr, instead of expecting a marrigae and acting so bitter she should have stuck to her word and quit sulking and kicking her feet.
Give this a total skip. Still - double adultery? Normally this would totally ruin the story Marisa is coerced into marrying Lorenzo Santanegli to provide him with an heir.
I read romance to get away from such angst. There's a problem loading this menu right now. An annoyed reader here. Mafriage was in the mood for an alpha male, rich hero story and picked this up.

So the book is about a nineteen year old Marisa, who was adopted as a child by the wealthy Santangeli family after the death of her parents who left her with no money at all. I hated the heroine.
A very patient and surprisingly rational hero.
